In the picturesque setting of Almora, Uttarakhand, Kathak Dharohar organized a dance workshop at the Government Girls Inter College (GGIC). Targeting students from slums and economically weaker sections, the workshop saw a massive participation of over 130 students. From May 19 to 22, 2014, students immersed themselves in the world of Kathak, learning its intricacies under the expert guidance of our trainers.
The closing ceremony was a grand event attended by the Director of All India Radio, the District Commissioner, and the Principal of GGIC. Each student was awarded Certificates of Appreciation. Additionally, they were presented with ghungroos and books, symbolizing their initiation into the world of Kathak dance. The workshop was not just an event; it was a transformational journey for many, igniting their passion for dance and enhancing their appreciation for India's rich cultural heritage.
