In June 2015, the serene beaches and vibrant culture of Goa served as the backdrop for another of Kathak Dharohar's dance workshops. Organized at Mandre High School, Mandre, this workshop catered to 147 students, most of whom hailed from underprivileged and tribal communities.
The primary goal of this workshop was not just to impart dance skills but to build a bridge between the rich traditions of Kathak and the tribal rhythms of Goa. As the days progressed, the students transformed, their initial hesitations giving way to confident expressions and graceful moves. The workshop culminated in a ceremony where each participant was honored with Certificates of Appreciation, ghungroos, and books. This gesture aimed to nurture their budding talents and encourage them to pursue their newfound passion for dance.
