In October 2015, Kathak Dharohar reaffirmed its commitment to the Adra Leprosy Centre with a return visit. The center, home to individuals shunned by society due to their ailment, needed more than just financial help. It required empathy, understanding, and a sense of community. The workshop saw participation from around 60 enthusiastic students, eager to delve into the world of Kathak. Despite the physical and societal barriers they faced, their spirits remained undeterred. The joy and energy they brought to each session were palpable, reinforcing the idea that art and dance are powerful mediums of expression and healing.
On the final day of the workshop, there was a sense of accomplishment. Sweets and certificates were distributed to the participants, a small token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work. Mr. Basudev Acharia, the former MP, graced the occasion, providing his support and encouragement to the students.
