World AIDS Day Dec2016

World AIDS Day, observed on December 1st, is a crucial reminder of the ongoing battle against HIV/AIDS and the importance of supporting those affected by it. Kathak Dharohar, in its commitment to societal upliftment and awareness, visited the Naz Foundation in East of Kailash, New Delhi.

The visit commenced with an informative session by Ms. Anjali Gopalan, the founder of the organization. She elucidated the preventive methods against HIV and discussed the treatments available for the community. However, the core of the visit lay beyond the medical discourse. The members of Kathak Dharohar engaged with the HIV-affected children, aiming to bring cheer, hope, and a sense of normalcy to their lives.

Through interactive sessions, shared meals, and heartfelt conversations, the team aimed to create a space where these children could open up and showcase their inherent talents. The enthusiasm was palpable, with many children expressing a keen interest in learning Kathak. The day ended with a promise from the Kathak Dharohar team: to return and teach these enthusiastic children the beautiful art form of Kathak, ensuring that their circumstances do not hinder their artistic pursuits.
