In the heart of New Delhi, the Kalanjali Kartavya Path near India Gate witnessed a spectacular cultural evening on 23rd April 2023, titled 'EKAATMATA….One Soul'. Organized by Kathak Dharohar to commemorate 75 years of Indian Independence, this event was a celebration of the myriad dance forms India boasts. From tribal dances to classical marvels like Kathak, Bharatnatyam, and Odissi, the evening was a testament to India's rich cultural tapestry.
Conceptualized and choreographed by Sadananda Biswas, with the script penned by Smt. Shasiprabha Tiwari and Late Amirchand Ji, and a title music composed by the legendary Pt. Ajay Chakraborty, the event was a melange of artistry and patriotism. This production was a salute to the unsung heroes of our freedom struggle, who laid down their lives, yet remained shadows in the annals of history. An ensemble of 75 artists showcased dances from various states, stitching together the diverse cultural threads of our nation. Their 75-minute performance was not just a dance, but a message, emphasizing the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Indian Dance forms.
